We have been wanting to put hardwood (read: laminate) floors in our house for quite some time. We finally got a kick in the pants to do it right after Christmas! So we spent the last weekend working on it and it looks AWESOME! I thought I would just let the pictures tell the process (sorry for the poor photo quality… taken on my phone!).

This is me pretending to exert myself. Seriously, this picture is posed. But I did work hard at other times during the weekend.

Here's the subflooring, all clean and ready to go. Dustin's Dad was a HUGE help in getting this perfect.

Dustin priming the floor! This is recommended if there is an odor (read: cat pee) that you are trying to get rid of.

This is me being silly. Note that Dustin is actually working in the background. What happened 1 minute after this picture is that I was about to saw a piece of flooring when I got freaked out and didn't use the saw after all.
Sorry that all the pictures are wack and sideways. When I go in to edit the photos, wordpress is not liking them and won’t let me change the orientation. So anyways, we are super happy with the floors! It’s also pretty funny watching Lexi trying to get some sort of traction on them.
Tonight we are continuing our craftiness to create a gallery wall in our living room. We are regular DIYers this week. Just call us John and Sherry (serious shout-out if you got that reference without clicking). Pictures of the gallery wall to follow.
